Which would be better? A) Living on Earth B) Living on the ISS (International Space Station) *Remember your goal: Show what you know about astronauts and how they meet their basic needs in space. We need to cite our sources (say where we found our evidence). If you found your evidence in a book: Editors of YES Mag. The Amazing International Space Station. P. 20-22. If you found your facts from a YouTube video: Canadian Space Agency. "Chris Hadfield Brushes His Teeth in Space." YouTube.

Students are asked to come Tuesday with a "family tree." This will give them a guide of family members they feel comfortable introducing to others. Mine is a guide for you. Students have been told they should choose 1 person for each category (ex: I have 6 grandparents, but I only chose 1 grandmother and 1 grandfather.)
Reading - A red duo-tang will accompany students home for weekly homework in the form of a reading log.
The expectation is for 20 minutes of daily reading between Monday and Sunday, accompanied by *one summary and one reader response (*see sheet in red duo-tang). Students have been given the freedom to decide when to complete their responses, but the responses should reflect weekly reading rather than a last-minute effort. Students have also been given the freedom to choose their own reading material, as long as it is developmentally appropriate. FYI: 1 reading log = 1 summary + 1 response |
